Paul McGinley pays us a visit

We were delighted to welcome 2014 European Ryder Cup Captain Paul McGinley to The Home of Golf on Tuesday. He spent the day on the Links filming an exclusive video for our brand new website (coming soon)! The St Andrews weather was kind and we were bathed in glorious sunshine for most of the day despite a frosty morning.

The video lets us share in Paul’s own experiences of the world’s most famous Links as well as offering his own hints and tips on playing The Old Course, including playing from the road on the Road Hole, tackling the Valley of Sin on the 18th, conquering the Cartgate bunker on the 3rd and negotiating the infamous double greens.

In the afternoon Paul spent time with some lucky SALJGA members where he chatted about his own career, his pride at being selected as Ryder Cup Captain and imparting some wisdom on how the Juniors can improve their own golf game.

We hope Paul enjoyed his day and we look forward to welcoming him back soon!
