New ‘Road Hole Collection’

St Andrews Links have launched a new collection which celebrates the iconic ‘Road’ hole – the 17th on the Old Course. The greatest names in golf have stared down the daunting drive, daring approach, cavernous bunker and the infamous road itself.  For some, it has defined careers and secured major glory, while others have seen dreams come unstuck in seconds.

The new product is a result of months of planning and preparation with the retail team working closely with designers and suppliers to devise the debut collection of 100% official St Andrews Links merchandise.

Taking inspiration from the ‘Road’ hole was a unique opportunity to devise something special, and deliver exceptional quality to our customers, giving them the opportunity of wearing something that allows them to feel associated with the world’s most famous Links.

Wherever you go in the world, it instantly stirs up so many different emotions and memories and fires the ambition of golfers who would love to pit their wits on the hole at least once in their lives. With that in mind, we began work on the logo and identity for the first ever ‘Road Hole Collection’.

Working with designers at Flintriver and with suppliers in Italy and Scotland, the collection began to emerge, finally resulting in its 2017 debut. The collection features a range of clothing, headwear and accessories, and is stocked in our flagship store – the Old Course Shop. It embraces a predominately traditional colour palette of classic blue and navy tones and is made entirely of cotton and presented in our own-label product.
