Castle closes its doors

This week saw the 2014 season at The Castle Course officially come to an end. We say our goodbyes to the golfers and our loyal non golfing customers for another year as we close our doors until March 2015.

Everyone at The Castle has been hard at work closing everything down for winter. The retail team in The Castle Course Shop have folded up the stock and merchandise which returns to our warehouse until next year. In the Clubhouse kitchens the cupboards and fridges are completely bare having been cleared out by Chef.

Gary and Cathie do the final stock take at the bar before emptying the shelves so cheers for the year end.

But one last cheeky latte has been made before retiring the espresso machine for winter. Mmmm!!

After Fiona and Lorraine have taken care of the hovering and polishing the Lounge is looking suitably spick and span.

And as for me…well as you can see, I’m happy to be finishing up the last of the paperwork until March next year.

The ‘closed’ sign is up and the team will say their goodbyes until next season…but not before a well deserved end of year staff party, so stay tuned for the next RELAX blog post.
